^^ what Bingo said ... yep! Keep that positive attitude! When the withdrawal symptoms kick in ... remember it is normal and that they will pass. When the mental cravings come ... use that positive attitude. You are off to a great start ... keep it going. Good job Stoppin'! It's all about breaking that cycle! Thought stopping is another great method of implementing behavior change as is replacing the old habit with a new one. You're doing great job! Keep it up! Danielle _______________________________________ The SSC Support Team

That is just oustanding Stoppin'! That's what it's really all about to me - realizing that it's OKAY. Realizing that you really will be alright if you don't have a smoke. In fact, you'll be better for it, but the initial big battle was just to realize that it's all OK. Keep up that great outlook and you'll be quickly to the point that you can hardly remember when you DID smoke!! Well done! I wanted to check in this morning and document to myself what I have learned. I woke up 4 or 5 times in the middle of the night and the first thing that popped into my head was being a non-smoker. I told myself "thats right you do not smoke any more and it will be okay"! I rolled right over and went back to sleep. I stretched for about 1 minute before getting out of bed instead of jumping up for a cig & coffee out on the porch. I went into the living room instead and enjoyed my coffee and the news. I have never smoked in the house so the new routine was good. I have had a few cheekie feelings this morning but so far it is tolerable. My life will go on without smoking...in fact the only thing that changed about my life this morning is that I didn't smoke a cigarette. Guess what? I survived!
