Ang here,
So I made it to 90 days! yay! I cant wait to get into the triple digits!
I am very comfortable in my quit right now. I dont really hang around smokers that much anyways though but last Friday I did and it wasn't that bad.
I just kept on telling myself, what they are doing is pointless. Your not missing out on anything. Its a temporary fix that doesnt last long. I wouldnt enjoy it anyways since i havent smoked in so long! :-)
Whenever I see a young person my age or younger smoking I get so sad and angry. That if they continue smoking their youth, beauty and vitilaty will vanish quickly. Smoking is like living in a cave.
I think smoking is one of the biggest mind traps there is out there. It's such a cult. All the lying you do to yourself was so tiring.
I just couldn't keep it up. After a few years of smoking the lying to myself was wearing thin theres only so many lies you can tell yourself. I wasnt stupid after awhile I felt worse about smoking and wanted to quit.
I wanted to quit more for myself than anyone else. For the right reasons. Thats why i think I am having such a comfortable quit right now.
If i was quitting for someone else, Id prolly just pretend I quit around them and smoke when thety werent around.
I was having a smoking dream last night. except I was only taking little drags of a cigarette and wasn't getting addicted. But I was so worried that I would!!
Anyways good thing it was a dream. i would never DARE do something like that in real life!
