els..yes we are a supportive group. We consider ourselves to be a quit family.
We understand your fear of quitting. The hardest part is getting started. Once you take that plunge you just keep putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. The first couple of weeks are the worst. I know that I had the same fear you described when I began on this journey. I also know that it gets better and every day you are one day closer to never feeling the enslavement of smoking again. N.O.P.E. is the way we all quit. Not One Puff Ever.
You must realize that smoking is an addiction that controls your life. It is not a stress reducer, a relaxer or anything else you have believed for all the years you have smoked. Read all you can about the addiction and the quitting process. Be sure to work the program tools to the left. Quitting isn't easy but it is doable. The support is here for the asking.
You CAN do it! :)
