Got up thinking about smoking

19 years ago 0 68 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
First thing on my mind this morning was having a cigarette. Why, I don't know. I'm on day 16. I did not have one in case you are wondering. I went to work, bought a coffee and settled in to a busy day. I have meetings all day today so that should keep me out of trouble. H, I can relate, my quit date is close to yours (1/29/06) and I have had more trouble in the last 3 days than I did in the beginning. I think the addiction is screaming to stay alive, but I'm just gonna ignore it because that's all it is. The posts from golferman about addictions and the mantras (under Forum for New Users) have helped alot today. We have to remember why we quit, and that we are not really in our right mind right now. Keep moving toward the light of being a non smoker. Hang in there! You know, H... I appreciate your posting when you run into temptations because you always seem to do the right thing and get through it. You could have smoked...but you made a choice not to. Keep doing that and it won't be long till your realize how much progress you've made. Time will begin to fly. You've already gotten over 2 weeks behind you. Hell and Heck weeks are gone forever! Great job... keep it up. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/2/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 378 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,568 Amount Saved: $1349.46 Life Gained: Days: 40 Hrs: 1 Mins: 37 Seconds: 32
