    Cigarettes Not Smoked

well its been 50 days, and to be honest i never thought i would make it this far. 50 days ago my husband had been bugging me about quiting, he smokes cigars. i didnt feel like i was really ready, but one night i got on a stop smoking cold turkey sight on the computer and read, read some more, and read some more. i looked at my husband and said lets quit tomorrow, i threw out all ashtrays, lighters and cigs. its been very difficult at times, but as each day goes by it does get a little bit easier. it seems to me the longer you go, the more you dont want to pick up this terrible habit again. i smoked for 19 years, tried to quit about 4 times with nrt, but always had issues with whatever i was trying, so cold turkey seemed to be the choice for me. this sight has been invaluable, i come here everyday and mostly read, it has really helped me when i feel a bad crave. so to everybody who is new in their quit, come here often, read as much as you can, and dont give up, fight the cravings, take it a second, minute or day at a time. you can do it!
