Hey Texan I can so relate.. I was down to a few on Oct. 16 and needed to go out the next day to get a new carton. Well the next day I just said thats it. I'm through. This is after 35 yrs. of smoking and being up to 2 packs a day. I still don't know what came over me, but I can tell you I'm glad it did. On Dec. 2 I had what is known as a TIA or a small stroke and they said one thing that saved me was that I had quit smoking and my lungs were stronger. Who knew? They may just have said that, but I'm not sure. I just know I'm glad I quit. I've also found out I have heart disease and the good news is that I don't have to face the quit smoking thing. I've already done it!!! Hang in there and keep your quit. vicki just 1 puff away from 2 packs a day My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/17/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,463 Amount Saved: $602 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 18 Mins: 41 Seconds: 17

Yep- you DID smell like that, no doubt. Boy does my husband stink :) Give away that carton.....so they are not tempting you. Funny how the mind works sometimes. Old Demon Nic will say to you, "Hey!! How about that carton sitting there? Those were expensive! Don't you think you should smoke those??? Don't want to waste the money, right??" Don't let that happen...dump 'em now!" Just some friendly unsolicited advice! Texan, If you're already 2 weeks into your quit and haven't had one single smoke and don't know why you quit, then I say KEEP GOING!!!! There are many good reasons to quit smoking... your health, your money, you won't stink, you won't be a social pariah to non-smokers, being able to take a breath without coughing, etc... there are many many many benefits to quitting and none to smoking. I think if you've gone this far without smoking, just keep going! Crave the Quit!
