Yesterday i was at a stop light in my car, i had my window down about half way when all of the sudden i smelled a cigarette. UGHHHHHHHH...i was sooooo disgusted!! It was the people next to me. I was so annoyed i rolled my window up and mumbled obsenities to myself. Later of course i laughed at myself for acting like a grouchy old fart(I'm 31) LOL!!! I wonder how many people i annoyed when i smoked for 17 years! Perhaps deep down i feel i need to be this way to make sure i never smoke again, almost like brainwashing myself. I don't know but whatever works is fine with me. Anyone else out there laughing at themselves? Ok, Ok.....I was just kidding! Even at my short quit time I can smell a smoke a mile away...I just am not hating it...yet.... It does make me curious though about how I could never smell it before. When I smoked, if I stopped at a light and noticed my smoke drifting to other cars my reaction was "So what?". And if they seemed to have a problem with it I'd put on my best "So do something about it, non-smoking wimp!" face. Now I'm the non-smoking wimp and it's payback time, I guess. So I catch myself, remember how it was on the other side of the smoke stream, laugh and roll up my window. Or sometimes I just ignore it simply because I can now. Oh, and as to the "grouchy old fart" bit? "If you're over 30 you'd better forget it, Cause if you're getting older you'll live to regret it" That's from the title song on the soundtrack from "Wild in the Streets". Now I've really dated myself. :8o: Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 260 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,209 Amount Saved: $988 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 13 Mins: 31 Seconds: 55
