I'm happy to be here this morning!

color=Red]But yesterday I didn't think I would be here today. I was at my son's hockey banquet, waiting at the long food line and talking with friends. Actually we were talking about my not smoking. All at once, my right arm went numb. Shortly after I noticed my arm getting numb, I started thinking "OMG, the warning signs of a heart attack"! Well then, obviously my heart starting going a million thumps per minute. After a very long minute, things went back to normal. I'm guessing it wasn't from the withdrawl, but more from a panic attack. Don't know, never had one B4. Hopefully... it won't happen again. If it does, I'll seek medical help. (Even though I'm not the doctoring type) Ron My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 538 Amount Saved: $101.25 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 9 Mins: 15 Seconds: 14

Doesn't sound like a panic attack to me. I have had them. You should see a Dr. Don't wait till next time it happens. It may be too late. We want you around for a long time. OK. :8o: My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 38 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,153 Amount Saved: $119.7 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 11 Mins: 39 Seconds: 51

I agree with everyone, you should have that checked, even if they say its nothing. Better safe than sorry. Ronko, If you have a symptom that persists or seems worse than you expected, you should immediately consult a doctor. Its possible that your smoking has been masking symptoms of some illness, and when you stop smoking the symptoms abruptly become noticeable. Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team
