Hi Cybrduke, you're wife is a smart cookie! You must be a glass of cold milk. What a combo! lol. I really like that visual, also has shades of the scales of justice. Right on one side, wrong on the other. You now know what is right. Congrats on your 34 days. Awesome! Why am I doing so well with my quit this time? My wife and I were discussing it over the weekend. She said she sees it as a set of scales. If the urge to smoke is heavier than the urge to quit, you wont make it. If the urge to quit outweights the urge to smoke, you've got it beat. I thought that was a very useful visual. Since we had that discussion, when I get an urge, I summon up the image of the scales. A pack of smokes on one side, nothing on the other. I think of the reasons I quit and add them to the empty side. Each reason tips the scales in my favor. Pretty soon my side of the scales weights a ton. The smokes have no chance! By the time I'm done with that exercise, the urge is over and I'm on my way again. Whatever works right? My wife is a pretty smart cookie. She has been great through all of this. A public thanks to Judi! You're the best!
