Hello Breakers! Thanks for asking about me, Luci-Lou. I am staying on the quit. Have had a rough couple of days. I am doing the patch routine and really struggled on Thursday when I dropped a step on the dosage. I have felt spacey and have had trouble reading and focusing (which is not good since I am going to school full-time!!) I have been feeling pretty angry this week -- angry that I can't have a smoke and equally angry that I have allowed a substance to have so much power over me. But I keep telling myself that it doesn't matter what I feel -- I can feel anything I want, as long as I don't smoke!

Hello Luci-Lou....Im still here smoke free and still dancing. Im almost thru with Blah Week. Congratulations to both of you, Luci Lou and Aunt Sissy, happy big 20 days. I was bragging your poem to my family and my coworker. I like Casey's idea of using this as our December check in thread. How about we post every Monday here or whenever we need to hear from us Holiday Breakers. You know, I always look for your post first. Hi Aunt Sissy...Oh yes...I still feel them. There are days that I don't think about it and there are days that I'm thinking them every minute. Like you, I pretty much substitute the cigs with snacking. I have this so called "survival basket" full of hard candies, nuts, chips, popcorn, chocolates, yeah..So far I have gained about 8lbs. I just waiting for this week to be over with and I'll start on a diet of somekind, don't know yet. Our group is small compare to the Ash Kickers but like Aunt Sissy said..we'll make it. HAPPY TO BE A BREAKER...Susan

Hey Breakers!!!! I'm still hanging in there too. Smoke-free. Some days are tougher but still doing it. Some days just go by without much thought but other days I really have to talk myself through it to not smoke. Anyone else still got days like this??? They say it gets easier, but my crave gets worse. I am eating everything as to not smoke. Hope to not gain to much before I get all of this under control. Loved your Poem Luci-Lou.. wanted to post yesterday but ran out of time. How are you doing?? You always ask about us..how about you? We have made it 20 days!!!!!! Isn't that great. Welcome Lori. How is everyone else doing???? I had started a list just so I could keep track of everyone that has responded to our "Holiday Breakers" thread. Here are the ones I have wrote down. 1)last_time 11/4 2)Smokefree2 12/1 3)Bill 12/3 4)penquin 12/8 5)brentw1 12/8 6)Lori 12/12 7)Luci-Lou 12/23 8)Aunt Sissy 12/23 9)Mookie 12/24 10)TryingHare 12/28 11)Hopeful 12/28 12)desert_girl 12/29 We even have a few with the same quit day. Some of these people we have not heard from again, some we have seen pop up on other threads. Not quite the list the Ash Kickers have, but not a bad number for a strong support group!!! Keep posting guys, we'll make it. !!!!!!Still some missing, maybe today?!!!!!! Smokefree2, penquin and TryingHard: Good job to all, great to read so many replies yesterday. I've been wondering where everyone has been and if you guys were still out there somewhere. Nice to know we are at about the same stage in our quit and going through the same things, just makes me still feel normal. Some days I feel like I'm going a little "crazy".... I don't think I really am though. Luci-Lou* sorry to hear about your morning being rough. Just hold your head up and stay strong. If you feel weak let the strength of all of us here help you through. We have made it 21 Days!!!!!!!! GOOD JOB We are over a 5th of the way to the beach now.(by a day) Doesn't that sound good? Brentw1* been reading your other post and replies. Loved the one about your daughter the other morning, must have been one of those special moments that let you know it is all worth it. No looking back now. That was great. You seem to be doing very well!! Keep it up. Trying to keep track of everyone in our group, just keep on posting so we know how you are doing from time to time. Just don't keep us wondering for to long. till later. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 857 Amount Saved: $136.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 15 Mins: 38 Seconds: 25
