phreaknbz, Good job, keep it up. You will soon realize how much you can really get out of going to the gym. Keep it up, you will see great results. Enjoy, Melanie ____________________ The SSC Support Team

OK, I made it to the darn gym.. finally. I'm hoping it will get me through this period of getting nothing done and wanting to do NOTHING.. I feel like a bum! I was on the eliptical for over an hour and lifted wieghts for about 30 minutes.. let's see if this is the answer.. Any old timers remember how long it took to get thier energy back and if exercise helps?? I'm going to go to the gym every darn day and see if it helps (if i can manage to get off my bum that is). I'll keep everyone posted and let you know if I found a silver bullet ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,016 Amount Saved: $231 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 7 Mins: 16 Seconds: 24

Hey phreaknbz.. Me too.. I've got a bit of a case of the blues as well... I attribute mine to knowing that I don't smoke anymore (good part) and the need to get motivated to move on after the death of that evil old friend of mine. Spring is right around the corner.. it will make it all better !! Exercise is good.. :) Knight Christine My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 949 Amount Saved: $129.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 0 Mins: 30 Seconds: 56

phreaknbz...Keep trying until you find what works for you. Exercise does help. Some days are good and others aren't so good. You are right around that 30 day mark which seems to be a downer for a lot of quitters. I know it was for me. I called it the 30 day pit and it took me a few days to climb out of it and get motivated again. There were also other times early in my quit that I would take a day off from work and allow myself to be lazy. Sometimes we just need that down time. You are doing great and real soon now your quit is going to start to get so much easier and your energy will return along with the feeling of being normal again. Freedom is waiting for you. Keep searching and you will find it. Congratulations on 33 days! You are doing AWESOME! I felt exactly the same way for a good 6 weeks. I had not motivation. I could not concentrate to do the simplest things. I had energy but I didn't/couldn't do anything. Exercise helped to just get moving even when you didn't feel like it. I still have a little trouble getting things started. Just go with the flow. Nothing is that important except N.O.P.E. It's a choice!

Hi phreaknbz, I've found that MAKING myself get out and exercise always makes me feel better. I think at least half of us had the 30 day blues. Things will definitely get better. Not cravin', never cavin'.
