Welcome, ______ and good job on hanging in there. We're really all one big group. Take your time and look around, we're all in the same boat on different points of the journey. Some are in front pulling, some are behind pushing, some are right next to us - they're the ones to lean on. Of course, I've pilfered this analogy from one of our family here. I don't recall the source, unfortunately but it's probably somewhere in This fantastic post by our very own, Hummy. I'm gonna bump it, too since it may get lost here. choice puts the free in freedom. keep on keepin' on - fish My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 82 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,484 Amount Saved: $410 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 17 Mins: 2 Seconds: 7

I'm bumping this for new arrivals. PLEASE READ HUMMY'S POST (above) and the posts therein. There are many more, but she put much effort into gathering and organizing this information, I hate to see it go to waste(I feel a bit cheap pilfering her hard work, but I do it in the name of 'SUPPORT'). There is no easy formula to all of this, wait yes there is. Put out that cigarette and never pick another one up. The devil is in the details as they say. You have to take this seriously. Life or death. Live or die. You only do, there is no try. You can quote me on that. READ, READ, READ. You must hang on. You know you can. You need only do it. Stepping off into the abyss is the hardest part. Trust yourself. Trust yourself. Trust yourself. Noone grows up thinking, "hey, I wanna be an addict." It'll be one of (if not THE) greatest things you have done in your life. It really can make the world a better place - you'll still be around. may you trust in the peace to come - trust your path - believe, know you can do this. Breathe. One moment, one minute, one hour, one day, one month, one season, one half of a year, one year, ONE LIFE. Save it, now, please. Life or death. Live or die. You only do, there is no try. choice puts the free in freedom keep on keepin' on - fish My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 91 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,750 Amount Saved: $455 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 20 Mins: 34 Seconds: 48

Hi Fish, There are 2 posts I know of that fit your description. One is by Shevie and can be found HERE, and the other is by Duffis and can be found HERE. There are several other posts with the same theme, but the old memory isnt good enough to remember where they are. :p Welcome to all the new and old quitters. Are we cool, or what? Not cravin', never cavin'.
