Rusty, Many people have quit smoking by turning their quits over to Him. Often times people don't realize how much support they can find there. He's always available 24/7 and always "online". Thanks for sharing that. Be Strong. Be Smart. Gr8 post! Tks :) I do this everyday! It's not so hard hummy, lol. For almost 10 yrs now I've been saying the same prayer everyday. GOD, plz keep me sober today no matter what happens and plz guide & direct my thinking, actions & words that I speak today & plz give me the knowledge of your will to be done and the power to carry that out. And for almost a yr now the beginning of that prayer has changed to,,GOD, Plz keep me sober & smoke-free today no matter what happens. And well...the proofs in the puddin,,,look at my stats! Oh and then again before I go to sleep I thank him. Of course...hummy...during the day I take it back and ask again lol,,,sometimes often,,,sometimes not at all. I'm not any certain religion. And personally I just don't believe u have to be a certain religion. I do however, without a doubt believe in GOD because I've had wonderful spritual things happen to me and around me in my life & I've been fortunate to actally see how he's used me to help others and then watched those help even more people including coming back to help me. Everyone have a gr8 smoke-free Wednesday!!! And yes isn't it so very cool that he's here online with us 24/7 :) No matter what don't lite up... Keep on keepin on... I hope this doesn't offend anyone. I don't mean it to. I'm not trying to push religion on anyone. This is a spiritual statement from a meditation guide that I use that might be calming for you. I let go and let God be God in my life. Beloved, let go. Let go of all worry and fear and let Me be a light that guides you through every experience of your life. Let Me love you, honor you, and bless you as you were meant to be loved, honored and blessed. Let go, dear one, let go. Let go and let Me work wonders in you and through you. Let Me show you the power of love. Let go, beloved, let go. Let go and let Me work through you to bless others. Let Me use your hands to give comfort and strength; let Me use your heart to express love and compassion; let Me use your mind to bring new ideas to the world. Let go, dear one, let go. Let go and let Me show you how to live your life as the instrument of My love and peace that you were created to be. Rusty My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 421 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,808 Amount Saved: $1473.5 Life Gained: Days: 58 Hrs: 0 Mins: 16 Seconds: 25

Thank you all for responding so warmly. This meditation came to me during a time when I was feeling out of control of things. It reminded me that I am not in control and I'm not even supposed to be in control. It also reminded me that I don't have to be afraid to let go of "all worry and fear." This in turn allows me to relax and know that all will be taken care of. Cherie, thank you for sharing your prayer, too.
