I agree with John W. I went for several weeks without thinking about a cig. Then, out of the blue,a few days ago, I had some severe cravings that came and went over a couple of days. Stupidly, I had a couple glasses of wine on one of those days and came very close to smoking. After getting past the junkie self-talk, I reminded myself of this. "If you smoke, you will have to sign on to the SSC and fess up, and re-set your meter. How could you do that so close to joining the 6-12 club? How could you think so little of yourself to think such a thing? N.O.P.E. You don't smoke so get over it." Yes, I am honest with myself, and understand that this addiction thing will be with me forever. For me, the SSC does come between me and smoking. Thank goodness! ____________________________________________________ A successful quit means staying true to yourself....
