I'm back

18 years ago 0 68 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Well, I'm back. I have tried this over and over again. I want to quit. I really do. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer last spring and she never smoked in her life. She is doing well, but it's scarry. I have two kids, son 10 and daughter 13. Been married 16 years and been with my hubby for 26 years. He does not smoke. I don't smoke at home, well, I didn't use to until recently. I now sneak them when the family is away. I had my last cig on Monday night when hubby was out. I smoked 4 in a row, knowing it would be the last. I hope. I need help. You are doing the right thing. Keep on telling yourself nothing will be better by smoking. You can do it. H....don't just 'hope'....in doing that you are defeating yourself before you really get started. THink positive.....you are already winning by simply saying no. Just keep that up one day at a time.....the first week is the roughest....withdrawal WILL pass....lung cancer won't. remember that. when we speak of 'killer cravings' we don't know how true that really IS! quitting is merely making the 'choice' to not smoke.....it's not a sentence of some sort....it's a choice. You can smoke...it's simply that you "choose" not to. keep taking it a day at a time.....find ways to distract yourself and don't just sit and let the urges to smoke take over. fight back! you CAN win.....no one dies from quitting Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1492 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 59,693 Amount Saved: $8206 Life Gained: Days: 194 Hrs: 15 Mins: 41 Seconds: 50
