The Red Vine Disaster

With all the good things going on in your lives, I'd bet your husband will be perfectly happy with you just how you are. And don't bet on the lights thing...most men, myself included, prefer the lights on ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 203 Amount Saved: $48 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 10 Mins: 16 Seconds: 39

Hi all, I too am putting up weight in this short space of time since i have quit. What i am doing now though is jogging! Its great as it lifts all that stress of quitting away and leaving you feeling great and refreshed. I have set myself a goal distance for every month and this is really helping me. The difference in my breathing when running, i can notice already. This has probably been posted a million times but excercise really does help as it motivates you in a positive direction! Set yourself goals. I just have to rant! Things were going well in my quit. I had gain 5 or 6 lbs. and by day 24 I had began losing the excess weight. Man, was I feelin' good! Excited about slimming back down for Valentine's Day and showing off my new rhinestone thong for my newly-quit, non-smoking husband. Cool, this is going to be fun! Crap! I noticed a couple of days ago that I had started putting weight back on. I didn't stop to figure it out until today when I weighed and found I had hit an all-time high. ARGH!!!!!!! Looking at the nutrition panel of my Red Vines package, I found that it's those freakin' Red Vines I'd come to love as a non-smoker. I was pounding down 700-800 calories a day just with those. Sigh.....no time to take off the weight for my honey. I'm just gonna have to dim the lights a little...... thanks for listening....btw, I'm still smoke free. gpw My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 478 Amount Saved: $124 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 22 Mins: 49 Seconds: 4

Ha ha ha! Red Vines are red raspberry flavored licorice whips. I really liked them when I had those weird feelings that might be called cravings. Yeah, yeah...grrr. I'm keeping a good sense of humor about this because I know that a few (or more) pounds is a small price to pay for what I have today. gpw
Can rhinestones be glued to granny panties?
I don't see why not! I'd try glue dots. Those suckers are adhesive! :p Good luck and have a bunch of fun! Hi GPW, I too have put on weight. I can feel it but others say they can't see it. It is probably the same for you. I'm sure hubby won't notice what with the rhinestones shining in his eyes! By the by, What are Red Vines? We don't have them here. Have a great night. I know how that feels, gpw. Don't worry about those few pounds... I know I can't tell when someone says they've gained that small of an amount. You're probably more conscious of it than anyone else. Reading labels is a good thing though...and I've gotten good at. Only one thing you might want to worry about on this Valentine's Day.... ...those rhinestones (ow) :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/2/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 377 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,558 Amount Saved: $1345.89 Life Gained: Days: 40 Hrs: 0 Mins: 17 Seconds: 37

GPW, The weight will come off in time :) Concentrate on your quit and know that your husband will be seeing you instead of smelling you! Congrats on one month! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
