I'll tell you one thing, i once was quit for 13 months and i caved in like a dummy. I know that I am going to be one of those peeps who will always have a craving for the remainder of my life. Unless someone holds a gun to my head and forces me to smoke (i only hope for that if i ever get put in a nursing home...hehehe) i will never reach for one again. Hang in there (i know...easier said then done)...just do your very best....and be a Winner in the quitters club....lol.....for the first time....i can fess up that i'm a quitter.....hahahaha. Here in Oregon we have a coastal mountain range that runs the length of the coastline. I'm climbing that now. Is it common to have cravings near 100 days (the beach)? For the past few days it's just as if I just quit again. The junkie is back, the physical restlessness is back - (but then my DH started smoking again)....but I haven't used NRT in over 60 days. I always notice that the quit is tougher when combined with PMS, but that is not an issue this week. Can someone shed some light on this phenomena? How much longer can I expect this to last? Thanks, gpw My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 87 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,314 Amount Saved: $348 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 2 Mins: 34 Seconds: 0

Thanks sniffle, sniffle I love you guys  I'll just pretend that I'm on a fresh quit and do all of the things I did WAY back then. ;) Things like: Drink LOTS of water Reward myself often. (Thanks, Shevie) Virtually LIVE WITH my support group Remember why I'm here Work out when I have extra energy - dance like a fool Think of my symptoms as a manifestation of detoxing The list goes on...and last, but not least - I KNOW I can do all of these things just for today. Then I'll deal with tomorrow when it gets here! Thanks, fellow quitters! I don't know where I'd be without my quit-buddies. gpw My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 87 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,315 Amount Saved: $348 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 2 Mins: 42 Seconds: 37

GPW i made it to 100, and then at about day 110, i had cravings and all the feelings that went with the first and second week. Mine lasted for two weeks, i didnt think it was ever going to go away, but then, it did all of the sudden and i have been good since then, hardly any cravings. Hang in there it will go away. Very common, GPW. From what I've seen, it tends to last from a few days up to about a week, depending on the person. Mine hit around days 86 - 89. Misery during the day and evenings were spent fetal on the couch. Then they were over as quick as they came and it's been smooth sailing ever since. If you haven't rewarded yourself lately, do so. And distract yourself, too. It does pass. Congratulations on (very close to) 3 months quit. Awesome accomplishment, GPW. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 323 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,473 Amount Saved: $1227.4 Life Gained: Days: 60 Hrs: 8 Mins: 1 Seconds: 0

gpw, WOW! Your stats are amazing :) Congratulations on a job well done! Please know that this normal and it will pass. Many members experience this around 30-40 days after their quit. Since everyone's quit is different, yours will be unique. You may have to get those coping mechanisms out again for a little while until it passes. Keep strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
