Hi all, hope your all doing well today! I was just wondering if anyone experienced a sinus infection after quitting? I have had a sore, runny, bloody nose, headache and coughing up the usual (sometimes bloody stuff also).Thing is it's going on since a week into my quit! I have a sore throat in the mornings too and my glands are sore, only at times. I know i should probably go to the doc's but where i live is so expensive and just wondering if anyone had a similar experience. Thanks in advance! Yes, I had similar symptoms, I kept thinking that I was getting sick, and then the next day it would clear up. Then a few days later, it would happen again. I went through this for about 5 weeks before my nose adjusted. Olly, I just saw your post. I'm at 99 days and just in this last week has my sinus's finally settled down. I have had trouble with them since I quit. Yes, blood and Scabs. Hang in there our bodies have to go through a lot of cleaning out of all the years of toxins we put in them. If you still feel uncomfortable yes go to Doc just so you can know you are ok and it's part of the journey. Hi, Olly. I've had a lot of experience with sinus infections over the years. 104+ fever and temporary loss of taste and smell are common, as are headache, sore throat. And I've had lots of nose bleeds. But I've never coughed up blood and my glands have never reacted to a sinus infection. I really don't want to scare you, but I strongly suggest you see a doctor. Not just when you can, but soon. I know allot of people on here have complained about similar problems, but I would definatley go see the Dr. Our health is nothing to fool with now that we are not smokers and are so healthy. Where do you live? Your quit is happening at the same time spring allergies bloom. The smoking may have been masking allergies. Don't worry, but do talk to your doc. Keep us posted please!

I would have to agree with the members at this point in your quit. Please seek assistance with these symptom by calling your family doctor or go to your local health care clinic. Melanie ________________________ The SSC Support Team
