Hi Ang, you sound really upbeat, that's great to hear. Great job on getting through the argument without a cig. See you can do it! The straws are a good trick. I must try that for the times when I run out of mints. Good girl, leaving those FAKE I.D.s at home, they'll only cause you REAL trouble. Keep Strong. Here is you getting smart about smoking... redrosie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,097 Amount Saved: $373.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 10 Mins: 53 Seconds: 57

Hey Everybody, It's Ang here, smoke-free and happy! Although I had a big test last night, that i didn't pass on my last quit! I had a fight with my mom and we were arguing last time we argued I just got so upset I ran to the store to buy smokes. This time I took deep breaths and chewed on some straws I had and pretended they were a cigarette for awhile too. I was thinking i'll do anything but smoke!!! I made it through the night without a cigarette!!! who hoo!! The reson why i made it through this time as opposed to last time is because I had some coping mechanisms. I was so mad at her I just bit into the straws like crazy! It helped me, and I am glad, the cravings passed quickly and I forgot. It was my first time within these two weeks that I actually wanted a cigarette!! I went to the book store and got 2 more quit smoking books, I have like 4 now!! haha I also keep my fake i.ds at home because i cant buy cigarettes without them anywhere but my towns store. How are my Febuary quitters doing?
