Working on the house

It feels great!!!!!!!  Totally awesome!
More news on the house progress:  Painted entire Living room, Den, and hall.  Lack a little because we ran out of paint.  My friend is going to pick up my new flooring tomorrow (has to be in this environment for 48 hours before can lay it (due to temperatures).  Also she is going to pick up more paint to finish the Den and Hall.  We just lack painting around the edges second coat and 1/4 of the hall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We will start laying flooring on Monday in the LR, the Direct TV people are coming on Tuesday to install a new line (I'm making my den my living room and my living room my den.) and I can have my NEW furniture delivered next week!!!!!!!  I bought the flooring for the kitchen.  I still have one more portion of floor to pick out.  I also have a couple decisions to make regarding a bathroom.
She is awesome to work with; but I already knew that; she's my boss in the landscaping business.
I feel better already and are making great strides in short periods of time!!!  She's come up with some creative ideas instead of retiling around the jacuzzi tub!  How to handle the 1/4 round around the flooring to make it a cheaper alternative.  Just so many things to be excited about!
lol, I guess my excitement spills over.....I can go on and on with how well things are going and things we've accomplished.
Oh, I love the colors I picked out; they compliment each other and it feels so fresh and clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And I don't have anything but subfloor showing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goofy!

YES!!!!! I was so happy to read this!  You have made so much progress! And I know how much this has meant to you.  Very impressed Goofy! I wish you could see the huge smile on my face as I write this! I can just imagine your place coming together and when it is finished how much happier you will be in your space!

So how does it feel working towards this important goal?  Please share!

I don't know where I posted it and it's been more than three weeks.  The moderator ask me to keep an update on my improvements on my house.  It is a constant reminder of how low I got with my depression.  I did not clean, nor take even minimal care of my home).  It is so embarassing I would not let anyone come over except for my son.
I procrastinated for three weeks, finally gave up said, I want this done, I'm not gonna do it and hired someone to help.  In two days we have the furniture moved and carpet out of all the living spaces except the bedroom.  I have purchased the flooring for all but a vestibule that is 16 sq. ft.  I've picked out the paint, cleaned the walls, and am ready to start painting tomorrow.  I have all the materials I need except the paint (lol, going in the morning just picked the colors this afternoon).  My helper is coming and hopefully we can get what we need to get done in no time with both working and no furniture or flooring to work around.  I'm sooooo excited.  I feel better already re: the house.
The winter depression is still hanging around; my anxiety level is up but have some medical issues going on, jury duty (3x/week), working part-time, babysitting extra to help my son out temporarily, and a few other things.  As Diva says "this too shall pass".  I saw my psychiatrist today.  We are keeping things as they are to see if when I go back to working landscaping too, and back in the sun if it will help.  We did discuss light therapy and how much lux is needed to be effective.  I did not know there is "lux" so I'm doing some research.  He said, 10,000 lux.  I wonder if it depends on the size of the room.
Anyway, I'm so happy about my progress on my house.  Having someone here helping me is making a huge difference and keeping me motivated.  She has experience in doing this type of thing to (more than me) so we work well together.  We are just working around my other activities!!!
I will let you know when all is complete - because it will be under success stories!
