Cant get up

Great support and advice everyone!

Lance, do use your roommate for support, and do plan a few relaxing things in the hours you have to yourself.  Walk, eat, stretch and ease into the day!

Lance:   It might be good to get up early and plan a thing or two in the extra time you have before your meetings.   Like going for a short walk, doing some exercises or eating a good breakfast.   Why don't you try it for a few days and see what happens?

My roommate will get me up if I want him too, Its just a lot earlier than I need to be up, but maybe it would be good.

I was getting up before my set back I had with my meds. The meetings I go to are downtown at Noon. I need to get back on track. I dont like laying there half the day and trying to sleep for the rest of my life. I want to have a life. Its the meds that are making this worse and helping at the same time. Its hard to have a job and sleep all day and I hope to have one again soon.

Lance, I totally agree with Rebbie.  You are getting up.  Plan your day around when you are getting up.  Don't make unrealistic expectations on yourself - you'll continue to be disappointed.  Plan your day around what you are able to do today not what you think you should be able to do.  Then as things improve, you can reconsider and plan your day a new way.

Lance:   Even though you have trouble getting up in the morning, you do get up eventually and I'm happy to see that you are reaching out by coming here and posting.    This is a good positive sign.    If that is all you can do right now, just know that we are all friends here and all in the same "boat."    Tomorrow morning, try again to get up with the alarm.   If you aren't able to, get up when you can and come here and post.   We care, Lance.    Also, I'm happy to see that you are working the program.   It really helps.
