OOh! Good on you Pete! I would so love to learn the guitar. But first I will tackle the piano! Well done pete!
- I bought a very nice new Brown corduroy Jacket. Well more like my husband bought it for me.
- I am done with the bureaucracy surrounding my leave of absnce from the doctorate. Well the school part anyway. I still have to take care of the loan people.
- I returned my very very late books at the library and paid my debt.(well I cheated here, I begged my husband and he accepted to go in for me and turn them in and pay the debt I felt too shy about it).
- I went to get my mom's computer fixed.
-I spoke with my mom and cleared some things up.
-I cuddled with my cats.
-I caught 4 hours straight of great t.v. shows and relaxed.
Jimmy I am so excited to hear that you are so excited to hear that your friend is coming back. I know it can be awesome when we find lost friends and renew old ones. Let us know how it goes.
Pete, I love that song - it pretty well speaks to us. There are so many things to be grateful for, it'ssomething I've seem to be able to use in my recovery. What a great list of things to be grateful for and written so very well. Thanks for sharing!
'You write such miserable tosh', she said
'It's all moany and sad', she said
'Write something that ain't about dying', she said
'Something happy'.
'Like what?' I said
'Well', she said, 'how about
the day your son was born and peed on the midwife
the way he looks when he smiles
his painting of a sunset
his fidgety attempts at meditation
his impersonations of Mick Jagger
the love he bears for you and me'.
'And,' she said, 'how about
that holiday in Crete
the bumblebees and the crash of the sea
the way we hug and kiss and stuff
the taste of food
the taste of me
the things we laugh at on tv'.
'And', she said, 'don't forget
mornings music goldfish drawings
pleasure leisure wealth and health
you and me and them and we
so we must be happy don't you see?'
We came up with a plan to use the computer so that i could start the program and actually concentrate on it...my son thought it would work..love my kids and their smartness!
My best friend is coming back. She was MIA (she was diagnosed with Bi-Po, she lost her home, her kids everything and then she dissappeared for a few years). Now she is making steps to come home and contacting old friends and family to apologize and see if there is anyway she can re-enter their lives.
So yes, yes, yes, the one friend who gave and took is coming back albeit, I am quite cracked myself now, so things should progress swimmingly.
I took the best step to getting better: I did something I didn't want to , but that I needed to. I redid my weekly routine. It's time to get better. :)
