Confused and need answers

hi can i just say- i think we're going through the same things i am going to my dr.s...i have already explained my life history, and he suggested counselling. and if your mum says get over it...this is a major coimcidense...because mine did to. I think parents get confused as to why we feel like this, because our lives in the presant seem 'normal'- if it is normal, then we know something is lacking. may be it is self-esteem or something like that... my cloud is lifting oh-so-slightly (thanks to a few hrs of sunshine...) if your dr. suggests counselling, take it. don't bottle out the second time...because i think that's probably going to be the hardest session...or it was for me, because it reminded me of something dodgey... i hope you are going to go the GP and tell him how you feel. it's tough. but it's worth it. good luck :) creativex

First, going to a dr the first time is always hard. But dont chiken out, your doin the rite thing. You dont always have to spill your guts the first time in, theyll still help you. Get a feel for him/her and then if you can, tell them everything and if not, just the basics. Either way your still doing the right thing and it will help. As for your mom, mines the same way. If she says your life is perfect, try explaining it to her. If shes stil that way, dont let it deter you from getting help and accept that she isnt going to accept it. You cant always change peoples view cause sometimes they dont want to see things. If you want to talk or anything you can email me at topprincess1@hotmail.com I promise I will write back.

Dear Confused, If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This will better help assess the situation and provide facts to your doctor. If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact us at support@depressioncenter.net. We are the Support Specialist for The Depression Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Josie
