Worried about Job prospects

JW, Thanks for posting on our site. Browse around and perhaps use our "Reference Tools", and take our Depression Test. These tools are very helpful and will keep you prepared to stay a step ahead. You need to prepare yourself for any outcome, positive or negative. Also talk to your doctor and present the results from your depression test. The doctor will be better able to assess and help you through this journey. One day at a time my friend, Josie

Please forgive me if this is not the apropriate forum. I just came across this site and thought it would be the best place to post my question. Aproximately 6 years ago i was discharged from the marine corps after a suicide attempt related to my depression at the time. I was treated with therapy and medication. paxil/buspar. Since then i believe that i have not suffered depression. i have not been under the treatment of a physician. I recently applied for a job in a law enforcement role, and i'm worried that i wont get the job because of my past record of depression. I dont feel depressed now, but my potential employer has voiced concerns. My discharge says "Convenience of the government, condition not a disability - personality disorder". I've been through alot the past year and am worried that if i dont get this job it will be the proverbial "straw that broke the camels back". Anyone have any advice for me? TIA!
