Dear Matt,
I remember when I was diagnosed with MDD. First I was kind of scared. But, it gets better bit by bit. Little pieces of sunshine can be gold in our hands. I've been rediagnosed with recurrent MDD, so I know about the ups and downs. Find something, even just one, that you enjoy doing and focus on that no matter what happens. I hope everything works out with your partner.
I just came from the doctor's office today and finally found out why I've been feeling so bad and really not myself at all! MDD is not fun. I also have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and it is so hard dealing with yet another illness. I've been trying to get Social Security Disability for two years...I hope this new diagnosis helps my case. I went from having a great income, house, and car to having nothing. I had to declare bankruptcy on everything because I can no longer work. I'm in a divorce situation too...so you can imagine. All is not so bad. I have a great partner...but I keep getting angry over little things he does....oh boy, I hope I don't ruin this relationship. Well, write back someone. I could use a friend out there.
