Hang in, sugar!
I know what you mean. I got THIS close to skipping out on
my job today, everything was going so ****py.
I know it's rotten right now but at least you know it's
happening. You can keep close track on yourself because
you know your patterns. For instance, you can try to keep
yourself as healthy as possible through this. You can try to
make sure you're sleeping the same amount, eating the
same amount, still going out with friends even though you
might not wanna do any of it. In fact, you can employ your
best friend/sister/mom/husband to help bully you into doing
what's good for you.
I'm looking for an internship right now (I graduate in
spring) and I know what you're saying about holding down
work and keeping it all together even though you're really
sick. I know how tough it all is but you're NOT unemployable.
It's important that you take care of yourself. Mere weeks from
now, this won't feel so big, trust me.
Luck and best wishes
Hi everyone,
Not having such a great day today, recently I quit my job because I felt it was triggering another MDD episode. Now I am more depressed then before. While I was working I could almost see myself slipping away, back into that deep dark hole I had managed, quite well, to stay out of for the last 3 years. i have been here before and knew what needed to be done. I feel no better now though. I feel as though I will never be able to hold a job because of this disorder. I am running out of options it seems. Has anyone else ever been here before? I am so sick of being sick, of needing to quit jobs because my mental health starts slipping away from me if I don't concentrate on it hard enough. I am just tired of it all.
