I'm afraid that the world's activities are machine-like, and the computer is another machine, with different functions.
It's scary since it can suck the life out of you by ramping you up into some dizzying circle of activity. Sometimes I think I'm not talking to a person(who's too connected to his system), but robots, since people spend so much time just pecking keys, instead of being human to each other, or sharing our souls, emotions, fears, memories.
I have a great deal of respect for those who don't flash their wireless devices.
I'll bet, after Sunny's remark once that they are assistive devices, that the more somebody uses a computer, the less of person they are in some regard, because of some vacuum they're filling.
I have more respect for a homeless person panhandling than the jackass in an SUV causing traffic mayhem while they're on their phone.
