Myth or Fact?

A myth about anxiety disorders

Anxiety disorders are rare. True or false?

Health Canada states that anxiety disorders are the most common of all mental health problems and that 1 in 10 individuals is affected.

In America, the National Institute for Mental Health states that approximately 40 million American adults ages 18 and older, or about 18.1 percent of people in this age group in a given year, have an anxiety disorder.

Remember, you are not alone and these disorders are treatable and manageable.

You have come to the right place, as the Panic Center and the on line support group offer information, tools, and a support network to help treat this disorder.

Be well.
