Sleep Problems.

Danielle, I've done everything you have listed. I'm on the verge of taking an OTC sleep med. I don't want to but I will if I have to. I tried calling the Pfizer, Chantix help line. That place is useless. They've installed people who haven't got a clue as to what Chantix is and how it is administered. They apparently go by a "playbook", if patient says this go to page 28, if patient says this go to page 30 etc. The person I got kept talking over me and was not listening to what I was saying. It was impossible to have an intelligent conversation. After about 20 minutes of trying to explain to them what was going on and getting absolutely nowhere I said thank you and hung up. The insomnia is getting to be a serious problem. Doc doesn't have a clue either as to why I'd have insomnia after being off the drug for weeks. Its like it turned on some switch in my brain and didnt turn it off when I quit taking it. I think this is a serious side effect for some people that needs to be addressed. Before I took Chantix I had no problems what-so-ever sleeping. Sleep Problems.

I posted about this to see if any other X-Chantix users had this problem. As I said in the original post, I quit taking it 2 weeks ago. I've been Chantix free for over 2 weeks now and still have sleep problems. As I said in a previous post, my doctor doesn't have a clue as to why I still have sleep problems. He told me to buy some benydril and take it before bedtime to see if that helped. I really just want to know if what is happening to me with the sleep problems is happening to anyone else who took Chantix then quit taking it. If my situation is unique then it must not be the Chantix that is responsible for my sleep problems. If others have had this problem AFTER QUITTING Chantix then it's something that needs to be addressed. I Dreamed I lost My Quit

Count me in for killing my quit in a dream! Actually it was a nightmare. I bought a pack of ciggs and smoked them in my closet so no one would know I was cheating, then I had to wash all of my clothes because they smelled like ciggs! Lol. Could not sleep last night

H, I was having the same problems. My insomnia lasted for 3 weeks. I'm finally getting to the point where I only wake up once or twice a night. For awhile there it was every hour or so! I was a walking zombie. Take heart .. it will pass. Is A Slip the same as a Fall?

A lot of people have had a moment of weakness and picked up that cigarette and smoked it. It may be days, weeks or a month after committing to quit, usually accompanied by an inner dialogue telling yourself you are stupid. I had such a moment a week ago at a neighborhood block party. Everyone there was smoking but me. All of a sudden I found myself with a lit cigarette in hand. I had taken two puffs then immediately put it out. In the ensuing days I did not think about it. I was not inclined to go running to the store to buy more cigarettes and did/do not have horrible cravings So I ask all of you who have had that moment of weakness .. is a slip as good as a fall? Are we honor bound to reset our meters back to zero? Personally for me, I say no. One cigarette does not constitute a failure if I continue to be smoke free after one slip. How many slips constitute a fall? Whats your opinion?
