Out of Control!!!!

Ok so now that the crave has passed I want to share how I get through my craves....

Back in the first few days of my quit I remember tearing my house apart trying to find a cigarette when a BAD crave hit.  Literally at one point I moved the refrigerator out to make sure none had slid under there.  Junkie Mentality!  So now when I have a crave (which have never been quite as strong as that one was) I just think back to that day and tell myself...."Tiffany if you made it through that one....this little one is NOTHING."  It works for me.  For some reason it's a mind over matter thing for me.  I don't want to start my quit meter over.  So just think....that was your longest, hardest crave and you made it through!!!!!!  YOU CAN DO THIS!!  IT WILL GET EASIER!!

HANG TOUGH!

Cold Turkey

Hello and welcome.  I personally did not use any replacements.  I went cold turkey.  I also read the Alan Carr book and it made a lot of sense to me.  I think it helped get my MIND ready to quit.  Regardless of how you quit....just quit...know that you can do it and you will be so happy once you do!

Best of luck to you!
