Hi, my quit date is tomorrow June 15th, and I also live with a smoker but I feel confident that I can do this because this is a decision that I made for myself. Keep thinking that this is a decision that you made and your doing it for yourself and have no control over what other people do...Each to their own.
Beb
June 15th is my quit date, I sure am nervous about this, but looking forward to not having to carry my cigarettes around with me and being uncomfortable smoking around other people
Hey people this is Beb, it's my 4th day no smoking, how does this weigh-in thing work. This is my biggest fear putting on the weight, I know i will put on some but I see that you guys are loosing weight. How do you control this.
Tell me your secrets :p

Hey Riverdale Man,
I'm a newbie, I have read what youre going through and my heart goes out to you. Never be afraid to post because of the newbies, to me this is how were going to learn, each one of us will go through a different withdrawal process, and some of us will find it as difficult as you are. It will be nice to know that other people are there to help us like other people are trying to help you.
I know it's not all going to be good, there will be hard spots just like your hitting. Ive been smoking now for 39 years, quit once before for 16 weeks and started up again out of pure stupidity, sure I can give you 100 excuses why I lit that cigarette up but I won't, the only reason was pure stupidity. How embarrassing. I was probably going through something like you are now and didn't know it at the time gave in to the NICO demon, didnt have the support like I have today with this program. Please dont give in hold on to everybody and everything you have. Doctor told me if I dont stop NOW, my next best friend was going to be an Oxygen Tank, now wouldnt my family and friends be proud of me then.
Please keep fighting and posting so that we can help you through this, youre not alone with all those feelings.
Beb

Danielle,
I did get your msg and I'm still hanging in this is my second day, I find myself a little edgy today.
I'm glad the weekend is coming up. I read alot of the msg and find they help alot. I explained the site to my daughter last night and she was very glad that I'm trying to quit and very pleased that I'm working with people on this site that understand what I'm going through and that can help me get through it.
It's me Beb,
Thanks guys for the support, I know I can do this but it's really nice to have your support. I munched on raw green beans all day, actually their not bad. I'm looking forward to tomorrow because at the end of tomorrow I'll have 2 DAYS DOWN....How exciting. :)
:)
Wow, this is hard and it's only my first day, I have this terrible taste in my mouth probably from not opening it to smoke today. Ha Ha. I have a frog in my throat and can't seem to get it out. I don't feel very social and that is not like me, I know I'm always friendly and today I really don't want any friends I feel like going to bed and getting under the covers and staying there until this is over. I wish I was an ostridge. I know I can do this, and have been reading all the discussion and most of them made me smile. It is now 6:34pm Eastern time as I am in Nova Scotia Canada, I am nearing the end of my workday only an hour left. I can go home and get under my blankets and pretend I'm an ostridge with an attitude. By the way I have been heavy smoking for 39 years. I hope to come in to work tomorrow morning and have some encouraging e-mails to read, I'll really need them because this is something I really want to do. I want to see my 3 grandchildreen grow up and get married. See you tomorrow my friends.
:p
