Hi everyone,
I'm new to the board!!!!! although I have been lurking here since Oct. I've done the program to the left, research the site tons of great information.
Anyways I've been a smoker for 20 yrs. I've tried to quit numerous times cold turkey lasted 3 days, then I use the patch with wellbrutin that didn't work I got depressed while taking the med.
Which led me to Chantix I've been off of nic for 11 days.
I'm not craving nic just the constant thought of "I want to smoke" I hope it gets better seems I'm in a constant battle with myself.

Hi all,
I'm doing pretty good I have good days & bad ones I take it one day at a time like most of you.
This is day 17 for me I was expecting to cough things up but haven't.
It's amazing how well I can smell & breath no rattles, wheezes you know all those sounds that come from your chest......I really like how my chest sounds now. :)
I'm getting ready to join a fitness center the beginning of Feb. Yayyy!!! haven't exercise in a long time.
I'm really proud of myself I've not smoke in 17 days.
I still can't believe I've quit with the help of Chantix, commitment & getting motivated I'm doing it one day at a time.
P.s. I don't know about you but I hate the smoking dreams will they ever stop?

Hi all
I have BC/BS they actualy paid for mine I had to pay my co-pay which was around $19.
I think if you decide to slip & smoke you will probably go through some type of nicotine withdrawals again but the Chantix is blocking the pleasure zone in your brain so you won't enjoy it and it will taste nasty!! That's how I'm understanding it I may be way off here!! ;p LOL
