Roasted Carob Pods

Well , I wanted to share with you something i have been eating in moderation to help with cravings of sweets. Yes it is the roasted carob pods ! , we have it sold in egypt and in middle east countries , cyprus, spain are countries also that are known for carob pods . if you can find it use it ! below are some nutirtional info about it , hope you find it useful : Roasted Carob Pods: Valued since biblical times as a nutritious, naturally sweet food, carob pods are often used today as a healthy substitute for chocolate. Carob's anti-diarrheal properties were discovered by a Spanish physician who observed that children of the poorer class ate large quantities of carob pods and had less digestive problems than children of the wealthy, even though their living conditions were less hygienic. Studies since have confirmed carob's effectiveness in resolving infantile diarrhea safely. Carob is high in calcium and Vitamin A and is rich in dietary fiber (26%) and polyphenols (21%) - those same anti-oxidant compounds found in tea that are receiving so much media attention. Start smoking again???

Dear Bonny; I am soo glad that you didnt start smoking again , this is a good example of sthng i once read which is also a good advice . quote : you can choose your reaction to anything you encounter even if you have no control over the actions of other people unquote . i.e if someone ever says something hurtful or injures you in anyway you can always choose yr reaction you don't have to empower him by responding with hurt feelings or negative thoughts you can BE STRONG and eliminate what ever he did and act as if nothing happened , you can even turn on the whole thing around and use it as a motivator !!! good luck and BE STRONG !! craving? , so what ?! , nothing worth while comes easy!!

Well, i was reflecting on a conversation I once had with a psychiatrist who told me when i wanted to quit a relationship that i thought was bad to me at the time and i was having a hard time . I recall I told him that i was suffering and that i found it very hard to leave the guy and he responded by saying so what?!.. so guys if you are craving so what !! hang on there it is worth it and what's the hell with a little bit of suffering or craving for sthng soooooooooo important like giving up this lousy habbit??

Never though living with a smoker is hellish!

Dear All; I started to feel okay with not smoking but two days ago , my husband who was away for the last ten days on a business trip returned home and omg , see him smoking is a big temptation for me . I thought I was in control but every time i see him smoke i feel like i am losing it . i didnt smoke yet but hell i am craving it , I havent had a cigarittes for the last 6 days but now i don't know how to re motivate myself. someone once said in one of the posts that were posted to me when i had a sli some seven days ago that social smokers find even more difficulty to quit because they always feel they can quit but when they actually do quit , it is even more difficult to convince themselves to stay quit coz they didnt suffer much and they belive since they made an easy quit it will be easy each time and so they fall into the trap until one day they become addicts and it is very hard for them to quit . I don't think i have reached the stage of becoming an addict but if i continue like this i will sure end up one . I want your advice if there are any sources for the people who have low nicotine addiction yet they want to quit because they fear of becoming addicts . I have done yr questionnaire and several ones and i always score very low on nicotine addiction. yet I am scared and i want you all to scare me more . I need to feel that smoking even few cigarites can kill me . even if it is one a day coz one a day will increase with time . Thank you all My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 72 Amount Saved: $14 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 5 Mins: 1 Seconds: 1

Never though living with a smoker is hellish!

thank you ex-slave for checking up on me well i lost the fight. I hve reset my quit meter .. this last week was so stressful . i had a fight with my husband we are not talking at the moment , i am establishing a new dept at work hiring and interviewing ppl all day long + my 1.5 yr daugther is teething . these are the "excuses" i am telling myself . right now i have realised how tuff it is to quit i have also realised how addicted i am . i have set my new quit date to 24th Sept . that is becasue here in egypt that is the month of fasting . i.e we dont eat or drink and of course we don't smoke from dawn to sunset . we also pray a lot and involve ourselves in doing charity work all our free time. this will be a good chance to quit cause i only smoke at work and since i will be fasting it won't be possible. this is all i can say for now .. i feel lousy i took this quit for granted and i feel i am such a loser . but anyways i swear I will do it in the end !!

How I amanged to quit

Hi everyone; I wanted to share with u my experience , and how i managed to quit.. I was on a holiday with my family whom are all non smoking ppl , and I couldnt share with them the fact that I smoked ( I didnt want cause if they knew it would remove the last barrier for me to not smoke in their precense).. ANYWAYS , I stayed with them 5 full days smoke free , and when I was back to work I discovered that I didnt even crave one cigi all the period I stayed with my family so I fekt it was all in the mind.. Actually , i think there should be institutions like the ones that treat addicted ppl ( alcholics, drug addicts) dedicated to smokers .. I mean if you were forced to stay in an institution for two weeks without even one puff , it would be very easy to go back to your life smoke free having acheived this milestone.. I hope this is of help to any of you , it has worked for me , and i rarely think about smoking .. when i do , i just take a brisk walk or have a salad ( sometimes popcorn ..lol) quote : whether you think you can or can not , YOU ARE RIGHT!!!
