Okay, so this is what I get for being so strong.
My bills are in the dump and I get a call from a creditor. I immediatly bite their heads off and start bawling like a baby on the phone. They transfer me to a supervisor and I bite his head off and demand he help me!
Anyhow, I ended the phone call and here I am. Blood boiling and crying all over my keyboard.
The maddest thing is that I did this to myself (the debt thing) and I only have myself to blame. I have to change that. I go good for a while, and then whamo ------ one thing goes wrong and then the rest follow.
I'm so upset right now. I have no desire to smoke, but for some wrong, discusting and scarey reason, I want to smell smoke.
Sometimes being too strong comes crashing down............ :(

Hi Quitter.
Sorry you are having a rough time right now. It will pass though. Try not to focus on it. The more attention you give to "wishing" you could have a smoke, will only make it last longer.
The straw that Shevie mentioned is an excellent idea! Also, make sure you are drinking A LOT of water. The more, the merrier! Force yourself if you have to. I also am hooked on Lifesavers and Werthers hard candy. I always have lots ready and available.
Take deep breaths and realize that you will pull through this. Stay strong and fight one minute at a time!

Hi there Cybrduke!
I too was one of those horrible smokers that taunted quitters. I used to say that I would die anyway, so why not die happy.............. Oh, Oh, Oh, what a smokers response......
I feel such pity for smokers. It is still their choice to stay smoking. Ready or not, they choose not to even try. But I vow, now, to support anyone who is interested.
I always have smokers around me. At first I'm sure they said that I was one of those dreaded quitters............ But now I have lessened the degrading talk, so I just tell people how great I feel, instead of belittling the fact that it is a choice.
I applaud you for sticking with your friend. I dont think I could have even been near him without ripping his head off for stupidity. You are a bigger person. :)
And a wonderful friend. Hopefully he will come around.

Well, I do say that I am proud that I didnt choose to smoke this weekend.
I just dont feel that proud today. The dreadful mind games. Not really with smoking, but of depression. Re-thinking life and its purpose.
I try to be so strong. Sometimes, it is just plain exhausting.
But hey, I'm not smoking.
