Good morning Gudi2shoes: Your posting sounds a lot like mine.
I'm a 50 year old male in Ontario Canada.
YOU WILL DO IT THIS TIME.
Today is a new day, a clean slate.
My previous two days have not been what you would call "My finest hour.' I have reset my quit date for today and like you, as of 12/2/06 I am a non-smoker.
There are a lot of great people here and I'm sure I have only met a very small number of them.
You have come to the right site for support.
Hang in there!!!!!
I QUIT!! :)
Tom
You may say this is my first day all over again. I started last
Sunday but fell off the wagon last night as I wasn't able to handle the stressors that mounted. Back on track today though and just as determined to go forward.
Hang in there you'll do great!

Hi Melanie: Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded everything I need to log on to the messenger. I was wondering about the protocol in establishing the buddy list ie having to be invited or asking someone to be a buddy and so on.

Sorry! I mispelled the word. It is actually atherosclerosis.
Bottom line is; my arteries are cogging up reducing/preventing blood flow. Smoking is a major contributor to the progression of this disease. One main artery in my lt leg is totally blocked.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Missyfit. It's really apreciated big time. I was doing pretty well all week, not one smoke. Lots of nicorette though. I kinda gave in to situational stress last night and killed of a pack in about 12 hours. I shook myself this morning and now I'm back on my gun.
Again thanks for the vote confidence

Hi Chris:
I live in Ontario Canada and I pay $7.95 per pack where I buy them and that is considered cheap. Here the price goes as high as $10.00 Canadian.
Take care
Tom
I'm a 50 yr old male, smoker for 25 years, 1 pk a day. I was recently diagnosed with arthrosclorsis (with main problem in my Lt leg). I have to quit smoking before March 8th, before my appointment with the vascular surgeon. I actually started Feb 5th with no smokes all week. Things kind of fell apart last night and I gave in, now I have to start all over. I'm using nicorette gun to help me along.
Hi N2K:
I'm quitting for me! Actually, if I want to keep my lt leg I better quit. One of the two major arteries supplying blood to the leg is completely blocked. Have to quit before March 8th. That's when I see the Vascular Surgeon.
