I even had to start shopping at another grocery store because the trigger to buy my ciggies at the checkout was more than I could handle! Check-Out = Ciggies.............some things U just can't unlearn..........have to avoid them altogether!!! Pace yourself like others said...........PAT

I am 54 years old, have been a closet smoker for more than 30 years, educated.........R.N., see myself as well adjust, confident, independent, progressive thinker, wife, mother, Past -President of the local Woman' Club, blah, blah, blah and YET, YET, have been a loyal subject and prisoner to a drug more powerful that kinship, sisterhood, and free will! Having a ciggie has at one time or another taken priority over just about everything else..... LOL U gotta laugh! I am beginning to believe that this is the original " Forbidden Fruit" and we had better get tough, stick together and be prepared for it to reel it's evil head forever! Just have got to have a fixed set of reactions to it's presence, ready to cope with the temptations. PAT

Simply put, Stargazer..........if your friends do not support your choice to quit smoking, I would not consider them friends. You will find new friends if need be without compromising your free will and convictions. Look Within as well as towards the stars. Cheers, Pat P. S. I have help my three children, now 30 27 and 22 through many rough spots during a total of 19 years of college life! Seems like a lot? Not really..........one has a Masters and one is a PhD....LOL. Believe me...........you will only be a stonger and better person for trusting your own decisions.
