I'm so proud of you Blue Cloud. You're doing this. I think about you everyday and i'm sending you positive energy.
This past June, my mother in law past away from lung cancer. She went down the hill pretty fast. I took it very hard. She was 76 years old and smoked for at least 50 years.
I loved her soooo much...we just had a connection.
When she had a few weeks to live, i told her she was my insparation and that i was gonna try very hard to quit smoking. She passed away on June 23...i stopped smoking on July 2nd. I know she watching over me and she giving me strengt in all of this.
For some reason i feel like i have a connection to you. Whenever i reply to your post i think of my mother-in-law. I WISH she would have quit smoking at 62, just like your doing. If she would have...i know she would still be here.
So keep on going Blue Cloud...i need you
If you need me, i'm always here :)

Hey guys!
Just got back from my vacation and it was wonderful :) I'm not gonna lie...i did have a few HORRIBLE cravings...but I DID'NT SMOKE!!!!
While on vacation, i heard on the radio that in the year 2000, statistic Canada estimated that 24 million canadians were smokers.
In 2007, the statistic went down to 17 million. That's pretty good.
But let me tell you the 17 million that are smoking lives where i went on vacation. OH MY GOD...i never saw soooo many smokers.
Everywhere i went , they were there. It got me nuts. That's why i think it was harder for me to stay smoke-free and why i had those horrible cravings.
Anyways, i really did'nt want to celebrate my 50 day milestone by having a cigarette.
I'm very proud of myself and i'm glad to be back.
:)

Hi Blue Cloud
Hope your doing better. I know that this journey is not easy. Believe me...i have those bad days also. Sometimes i just wonder if it will always be like this...will i always miss smoking...cause i still do.
But then i read posts from people that have been quit for longer than we have....and they are doing GREAT. So then i tell myself that it won't always be this hard.
Unhooked is right. We NEED to take it a day at a time and TRY to stay positive ( i know it's not always easy).
But if all these peole can do it...we can too.
Just hang in there :) We're gonna get threw this together :)

Hey Blue Cloud,
I saw that thread you started for me. You're so sweet...could'nt ask for a better quitting partner.
I would have done the same thing for you but i was on vacation and did not have internet acces.
I'm really sorry i missed your 50 days milestone. I'm soooo proud of you. I did think about you that day and i sending you positve energy :)
I just read in another thread that you were going threw so hard days. I hope everything's better now.
Please remember that you need to take this one days at a time. It's too overwhelming when you look to far in the futur.
Hang in there...i'm right there with you :)
