Welcome jazphoto
In a way!
Practicing Thai Chi and Chi Kung, has helped me to breath better and to get more relaxed. I think any exercise that keeps your mind free from thinking would work the same.
Years ago in one of my attempts to quit I came across Using Your Brain For a Change , a very interesting book by Richard Bandler, you will find some good exercises to get rid of smoking by a visualising method. It can work but only when youre really determined.
:) Good luck, mitri

Dreams belong to the realm of emotions and are the safety valves of our equilibrium. Instead of fighting them back why not trying to understand them. They are messages of our inner self and mostly are not as they appear at first glance.
I, too, have dreamed of smoking since my quit! Sometimes they are frightening and sometimes theyre funny. I really dont care for Im sure that theyre part of my healing process.
Please be patient with your beautiful and creative mind.
:) take care mitri

You did a great job by now. 62 days and 1,258 not smoked cigs are quiet a lot; congratulations! Kate is absolutely right plus youve already received wonderful advises so I can only suggest that you reread all passages concerning the little nicotine monster who demands to be fed.. in Allen Carrs Easy Way...
:) Whish you more tranquil days to come, mitri

Congratulations piojito :)
I have been doing only small and less challenging works since my quit. Im taking my time because at the moment my quit is more important than my creativity! Anyway artists are not suppose to produce only masterpieces!
Use this time to renew yourself as other guys have already suggested and stick to your quit.
Good luck :) mitri
PS: Have you ever tried writing morning pages pages (a very effective exercise in Julia Camerons The Artists Way)?
