Hi Renee- welcome to SSC. Thats tough trying to quit with two other smokers in the home. Have you tried including them in your quit by telling them how difficult it is for you with them smoking and perhaps they would be considerate like Meg's son and confine their smoking to just certain areas of the home?
My husband quit before me and I smoked in the garden as I felt to smoke in front of him was just too much especially early into his quit. He said he didn't mind, but I did. I know that I couldn't have had smokers round me at the start because it makes an already hard job doubly hard and I may have killed them.........(just kidding)
I appreciate some of the above may not be an option for you in which case I think you will just have to do what you did yesterday and avoid them when they're smoking.
Good luck Renee, I wish you lots of success.

Pupikat- I hope you continue to find more reasons not to smoke. Although smoking appears to be the crutch that gets you through all your trials it is in fact yet another serious problem to add to your list.
I could always find a zillion reasons why this day/week/ month could not be my quit time, but eventually the quit found me and I was ready.
When you're ready, theres a ton of support here for you, good luck.

Steve, I used to feel the same despondency reading some of the more negative posts. I am the type who needs to think/ know that things are going to get easier, and reading misery just used to pull me down .
I also used to feel guilty that my quit has been a relatively 'easy' quit and after being a heavy smoker for nearly 40 years that was the last thing I expected believe me!
So, take heart from me, its not always tough around 50 or 100 days for everybody, all our quits are different. I might get to 100 days and have an overwhelming urge, but you know what??? I doubt it.
You are doing brilliantly Steve, and I wish you well for your surgery and please if you can find the time to let us know how you're doing post surgery we'd love to hear.
