Danno, sorry you're not feeling well. Get sonme rest & if you feel up to it tomorrow, I'm sure the party will still going. It's in the general forum, called "Oh, why wait." We have AWESOME food (thanks Greger & Kelly), Canadian beer, music & well, you just have to see it! Hope to see you there! Hello again all! Hey Keliza! Way to go! Sounds like you had a great day! Congrats on the 7 days quit, and Happy Birthday 2 U as well! My Birthday will be rolling around here in Jan., and i'm going to treat myself right this year! LOL! I know what you mean about your house. I also smoked in my home, but I live alone. I guess that makes a diff since noone but me had to put up with the smell of old nicotine hanging on the walls, drapes, furniture, ect. Now it's time for a steam cleaner and some fresh paint! WooHoo! Thank you all for the messages. I look forward to them! I'll be back this evening! Congrats to us both on hitting the 1 week mark Danno! I had balloons yesterday too - it was my 50th birthday. It felt so great to not be a smoker that day! My sister & boyfriend sent me to a fantastic spa for a half day round of glorious treatments then my family met us at a restaurant for a wonderful dinner. Two of my kids (19 & 22) spent the day cleaning the house too so now my house smells great! No more stinky cigarette smell! (Yes, I used to smoke in my house I ashamed to say). What a great day. They are all really supportive. I think two of my kids are still a bit skeptical but I don't blame them - they've seen me fail before. I'd told them I've quit then they've caught me sneaking one. They really want to believe I will quit for good and I WILL it prove to them this time. I think you're right Dan - the switch has kicked off - I don't want to do it anymore. Keep it up - we're doin' it! Hi Grandma! I know! I can hardly believe it myself. It's just like there was a switch kicked on...or maybe off...somewhere in my head, and that was that! A few craves, but nothing that couldn't be handled. I do Animal rehabilitation. Mostly injured or orphaned wildlife in our area. {Deer, Coons, ect.} Also injured or neglected domestic animals. {Dogs, ect.} Hope that answers your question ok! Thanks for asking Grandma!
