Congradulations Monkey Hang in there, I think you are doing great considering you are around someone who smokes. Hopefully he will join you soon. Good job, Monkee, and congratulations for staying quit and (I think) holding your temper. I can only imagine how hard it must be to quit while living with a smoker, but I know it can be done. Stay strong, and I bet in time that hubby will feel guilty all by himself with no input from you. That's a beautiful thing. Thank you to everyone for your kind words. Yes, I have him a "glove compartment" set up on this site. I did them both on the same day. There is a question I wanted to ask. How long after you have quit before it's safe and easy to start exercising again? I LOVED to do exercise video tapes, dance-aerobics, etc. I was always so full of energy afterward. My nights are getting shorter now, but I'm not tired, I sleep VERY well. So, I wanted to take advantage of the extra hours of daylight. I'm just afraid of maybe hurting my heart or becoming winded this soon. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated!! God Bless!! Thank You All!! hey monkee, i think that you need to have a serious talk with your hubby about your great desire to stay smoke free. this is your quit. ask him to refrain from smoking around you and to not bring any cigs into the home. has he done the online program here? that could help reinforce his committment. hang tough, girl. congrats on 5 whole days! see, you can do it! we quit one day apart, so holler if you need support! new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 120 Amount Saved: $25.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 18 Seconds: 35

I know how you feel, its funny because it was my partner who quit first he quit for 3 months and I decided to quit, I am nearly 5 months smoke free and he is back smoking! One day here and there he stays of them but for 99% of the time he is a smoker. It kills me , and yes I know that I cant make him quit but it frustrates me so much because he has done it before.. But only he can do it himself. Congratulations on 5 days smoke free ! Great Job. You hang in there and maybe your husband will give it another go. Sometimes it takes a few tries to make it. Your example will be a good motivator for him.
