Thank everyone. Very special thank you to penitent. For me this has been the diferance this time. I try to read everyones post. Some are scary, but then I relize that some times it is helpful to get out the junk. My biggest inspiration though, is looking at the quit meters. I always think WOW if they can so can I. My sincerist thanks to everyone on this site. For those of us quiting now, I am refering to us as theEnd of Summer Quitetrs. But whatever. The important thing is we quit. This is a nice thread. I find it difficult to get the time to post as much as I did previously. I would like to say a huge welcome to all new members. Well done for quitting! I wish I had done it sooner too! It is far easier than I thought it would be. I smoked for 22.5 years, up to 40 a day. Keep going. Read and POST often. I cant say that enough. Posting here really does help, there is usually someone around to help and the advice really is spot on! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 66 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,660 Amount Saved: 495 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 20 Mins: 29 Seconds: 24

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Bunkindoodle, Wow! 17 days looks good on you! Littleboo, Many have felt just as you do now and have gone on to have successful quits. Start replacing that cigarette with different alternatives. What else could you do or run to when stressed? You also need to reward yourself for staying smoke free. Don't be too hard on yourself, this is a learning experience. Reading through the forums and working through the program will get you started. Maggie, Congrats on 9 days. Let us know if we can help you in any way. Keep persevering everyone! Puffree46, Lead by example and they will probably follow. Many of our quitters have made it a team effort on the home front. Be sure to direct them to the SSC if they decide to quit and need extra support. Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team
