Shalom Orel!! Welcome to the forum and well done for your excellent decision to save your life!! Great idea of yours to post here everyday, to have some accountability - posting on this forum has helped me so much - I never want to have to say I slipped, so that makes me more determined not to!! Welcome, Orel..... I didn't post a lot in the beginning - I went my first week just reading. I found that going through previous posts and understanding that I was not alone with how I was feeling made the cravings a bit easier to handle. You are through the worst of it - congratulations on your decision to quit, and make sure you REWARD yourself - you have reached your first week milestone, do something special for yourself..... If you need help, just ask. There is always someone here to talk you through your cravings - there are a lot of great people here. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/19/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 381 Amount Saved: $168.75 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 7 Mins: 5 Seconds: 58

Hello, Its so nice to see so many people starting off their new lives in the last 2 weeks. Each of you deserves special recognition for being willing to work your way through this journey. The first couple of weeks are about you and getting the nicotine out of your body. Most of you are long term smokers and ridding yourself of nicotine can be a difficult and all consuming job. Stay with it and the benifits will soon out weigh the losses. Just stick close, and continue to post and to read each others post. They will be the way that you can get your mind into the next phase of the journey. When the physical cravings have past and the mental journey is started. You each can do this. You need to want to be a non-smoker more than you want anything else. Look through the threads and see how many times it talks about the mental or mind games/journey. It will help you to be ready.
