Jeniwho,

WOW!  A half-marathon.  What wonderful changes quitting has given.  I know that I too am so grateful for all the blessings that come with the quit.  Keep up the good work.

I have not smoked for 420 days. Yesterday I ran a half marathon.  I never thought I would be where I am today.  I smoked for over 25 years.  I tried to quit smoking over a dozen times.  I never could do it, I always felt like a failure but never gave up trying.  I finally was able to quit last year and have been able to stay quit. I started to walk when I quit so as not to gain weight.  It helped to reduce stress and gave me something to do other then smoke.  So I started running.  I figured that if I was going to be healthier and quit smoking, I would be healthy with my diet and exercise.  I can't believe I have made it this far.  I know I will always be an addict and struggle from time to time but I am so proud of myself.  If I can make this far anyone can.
