Cigarettes Not Smoked

My quitter friends, 4 months, 121 days of non-smoking! :) I'm still facing fleeting moments of craving ... I have crossed the river, from the land of smokers to the land of non-smokers, and have destroyed the bridge. No way to go back! However, that tricky nico-demon still runs after me ... That's why, in my case, I'm not in a hurry to throw away my NRT aids (inhaler & lozenges). I still need them occasionally, as the last line of defence, when the tempting to smoke becomes too strong to resist, especially during this festive season ... Merry XMas & Happy New (non-smoking) Year, nmc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 121 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,218 Amount Saved: $605 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 15 Mins: 12 Seconds: 17

Thanks for the suggestion, Shevie. Much appreciated! :) Actually, I did think about that, but I have decided to keep my NRT aids, as long as necessary. Yes & No, Lady! :) No, I don't smoke, and have no intention whatsover to go back smoking. Yes, I do think I still need NRT aids, at least for this period ... After the New Year, I'll have a trip, working overseas. The trip would be very stressful, and worse, I'll be working with people who smoke a lot! That would be a real test for me! :) Cheers, nmc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 123 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,238 Amount Saved: $615 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 0 Mins: 12 Seconds: 23

NMC, Thank you for the update. We are glad you're doing well. There is no shame in making sure your quit is secure before taking that last step down. Keep going. You're doing great! Happy holidays and best wishes to you & yours! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

4 months is awesome Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Congratulation nmc! 4 months is Awesome! Get rid of the NRT's. You don't smoke anymore. You don't need them. Just my opinion, take what you want and leave the rest.
