4 months today, but still need NRT aids

Hi, nmc. Congratulations on 4 months smoke-free. That is totally awesome. I'm tossing this idea out for whatever it is worth. The continued use of the NRTs may be contributing to your cravings. You have a craving for nicotine, you use the NRT, craving is satisfied, positive reenforcement has occurred. Behaviors that are rewarded are repeated. That said, you are not smoking which is the only thing that is truly important. Everything in it's own time, my friend. Keep up the great quit, nmc. We're might proud of you. :) Wishing you the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest of New Years!
