Yeah, Ericon, I'm also facing many difficult moments ... Yesterday, I desperately wanted a cig while sipping coffee at my favorite coffee shop! :( However, that bad moment soon passed and I could maintain my resolution! :) It's not easy to kick that habit of 35 years! But I shall succeed! :) Cheers, nmc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 70 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 710 Amount Saved: $350 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 4 Mins: 24 Seconds: 51

I have been a smoker for 35 years, and this is my fifth quit (and many "minor" attempts in between). Like you, I'm determined that I will succeed this time. I have tried cold turkey, Zyban, NRT gums, ... but failed! This time, I used an NRT inhaler and occasionally, small pieces of NRT lozenges ... So far so good (but still with many craving moments). One thing I have learned, before I started this quit is: I must be patient and be gentle to my body . Being patient means an understanding that this road to recovery is arduous and full of tricks (that nicodemon is not easy to overcome), and I cannot kick that long term habit in one hit, but it might take several weeks or months to succeed ... Being gentle to my body is to recognize the real pain of physical withdrawals and calm it down by many possible ways, including any suitable NRT aids. This time, I told myself that I would hang on to those NRT aids as long as necessary and only listen to my body, not any one else. Cheers, nmc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 71 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 711 Amount Saved: $355 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 5 Mins: 12 Seconds: 25

I'm okay, Ericon! Busy writing in the other threads! :) In 4 days, you'll be reaching the beach (100 DAYS), heh? With Thanksgiving, it should be Double Celebrations for you! :) Take care! Yeah, Ericon, Day 81 for me .... not bad, heh? :) Still have moments of craving, but I deal with them, one by one, one day at a time ... I'm looking forward the day I hit the beach (Day 100), for big celebration! :) By the way, where are other Augustines ?! Early hibernation ?! Hi Augustines, feeling much better today. Not craving so badly so hopefully that is gone for now at least. Here's a pic of my new baby, her name is Chaos
