Sillyme - she sounds so great! Yes, it is a big commitment but can be done. I had a dog when I was single too. Be grateful it's only insurance papers! My first dog Stanley, decided to chew into my guest room bed - right through the bedspread, blanket, sheets, down into the bed. I came home to stuffing from the mattress all over the place! So it was off to puppy training school after that. Let us know when you select a name for her. She'll be be good to concentrate on as this upcoming Monday will be the 'triple-digit' day for you! Got that reward picked out yet? Have a great weekend everyone! I'll be back next week. Hubby & I are going to tackle yet another mountain tomorrow - - - going to see if my increased lung power can handle an eighteen mile trail. Lots of climbing involved in this one. (You just have no idea how thrilled I am to be able to do this! As a smoker, I used to be out for the count after only 3 miles). Ahhhh! Look at the puppy-tuppy-wuppy! Ohhhh . . . too cute Sillyme. She is adorable! Such a cutie-tootie. It's just amazing how a puppy can reduce me to a blithering, baby-talking mush-head! Haaaa, haaa, haaa ... who am I kidding . . . LOL! Well, 100 BIG FAT DAYS for Sillyme! Am so happy for you. You hit the beach! Save a spot for me too . . . I'll babysit the poochie while your swimming. Oh yeah, the mountain. It won. We packed in for a number of hours and I made it to the point I wanted to, but the trip back out just totaled me . . . I was shot for the day and didn't do much yesterday either. Was fun, need more treadmill work though for stamina . . . sigh. Hope all is well everyone. You too Mary. Hi. Sigh. No motivation at all lately. Still quit, not craving, just not motivated to come on board. Probably another phase or whatever. Anywho . . . belated congrats to Grace on 90 days. Also a big congrats to Deli on 100 days too - - the first of the Augustines to hit the beach! Sillyme, think we're celebrating for you on Friday - 90 Days! Yaaaah! And next Monday, NMC has 80? Hope I have that all straight! Congratulations Augustines! Good job. Take care. Won't be back till sometime next week. Keep the faith. Ericon :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 83 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,934 Amount Saved: $601.75 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 10 Mins: 14 Seconds: 29

NMC; Very interesting philosophy you have in your quit. Sounds like a recipe for success to me! Thanks for sharing. Sillyme; BIG 12 WEEKS! Congratulations on 3 smoke-free months. I still shake my head over the fact that we've been doing it for this long! But we're all doing it - whew!! I'm feeling much, much stronger again. Still suprised by 'crave from hell' episode but am not going to waste any time trying to analyze it. Just moving on & living life. Have to admit I'm one of the simpler kinds . . . doesn't take much at all to keep me entertained. Now I'm not very savvy when it comes to phrases that are used across the pond but Deli . . . I've been LMBO since I read 'wobbly bits'. Oh, I can so relate! :) Love ya'll, Ericon My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 79 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,780 Amount Saved: $572.75 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 22 Mins: 18 Seconds: 4

NMC; I think we've got a bit in common. I was a long term smoker too (37 yrs of 1 to 1-1/2 pks/day) and this is my 4th attempt now. Or I should say my 4th and final attempt because I plan to stay quit! ;) It's also your 4th or 5th, right? Let me ask you something, my first 2 attempts quitting were just plain agony. Part of that was because I had very little idea what was happening to me. My third and current quits were on this site, after a whole lot of reading & being 'enlightened' on what I would go through both physically, mentally & spiritually. Even though I blew a 15 day quit after being on SSC, both quits here were considerably easier. Even the physical withdrawal seemed less severe. Anyway, what I wanted to ask you was, did you find you had a somewhat easier time quitting in each subsequent quit? Are you doing better Deli? Actually I've kind of noticed a wave of craving going through the site this week, or maybe it's just my imagination. I do know that I'm way more attentive to that sort of thing after my last weekend! Is everybody here yet? Where's Mary? Jump in here Mary so I know you are OK. No More Cig's at 70 today! Good job NMC! Wishing everyone a safe, smoke-free weekend . . . and let's see, what should the theme of the next party be . . .
