Thanks for all the support everyone. You really are the greatest group of people! I get so excitted when I see there are new posts on my message - way better than the thrill I got from lighting up. Today was a better day - cravings are more mild than the last couple of days. I'm never ever going to smoke again - if only for the fact that I NEVER want to go through withdrawl again. WITHDRAWL SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Stay Strong Never SMOKE LIVE LONG! Two weeks under my belt - the rest of my life to go! I have to say that this past weekend was the hardest two days yet. Constantly craving the evil weed - not to mention a glass of red wine which would have been wonderful last night with dinner - but wine makes me crave a smoke so that has gone by the wayside for now also. This whole weekend I was in mourning for the "other" me, the person I used to be. Has anyone else felt this way? Yes I'm very proud of my quit but I'm also feeling lost at the same time. I think maybe I should have posted this somewhere else - not really an uplifting message for Stats Parade, sorry folks. Hi, and thanks. I will defenitly wait on the alcohol- dont think i could drink and not smoke - and your right, being smoke free is way more important! Thanks for listening, Skidoo

Well done Skidoo! .. and things only get better! The alcohol thing has been discussed much here recently. I still enjoy a drink (without a cigarette), though I'm sure this differs from person to person. Think there may be a tendency to drink more than usual; it's the 'having something to do with your hands' factor and that needs to be closely monitored. You're doing really well and only you can decide the exact nature of your quit All the best! Dear Skidoo Way to go on 2 weeks!! That is awesome! You are now past hell and heck week. I would say I felt like I missed My old self too, that is not unusual at all. But your old self was killing you. I promise you, you will love your new self as a NON smoker way better! Maybe you should wait on the wine or booze until you are more comfortable with your quit? For me.... I actually waited almost 3 months. I did not want to let my guard down and ya just know smoking goes with booze! Many people have lost their quits in a bar or drinking alcohol! Be VERY VERY proud skidoo........Reward yourself with something special, you deserve it! Stay Strong! Hey Ski Congratulations 2 weeks is awesome and whatever is going on "this too shall pass". You are doing great. Keep coming here posting, find new and healthy ways to fill your time and the "New YOU" will emerge. I hope that you are rewarding yourself and honouring yourself for the great job you are doing! I feel lost a lot of the time and I simply get back on track give myself a little nudge and stepped one foot in front of the other back on the road. Keep celebrating and being kind and loving to yourself. Take it all one second on minute one hour at a time and you will keep on keeping on. Stay Strong - Stay Quit Cheers Phillip My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 88 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,766 Amount Saved: $660 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 9 Mins: 25 Seconds: 37

on 2 weeks - awesome Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
