Chatter?

You're doing great, Vas -- the voices in your head are a good sign; means that nicodemon is making his last stand and using everything he's got.  You shall overcome, big guy.

I just completed HELL week, trust me, IF I can make it thru hell week so can you.  I know the voices you speak of, even here in heck week they are still a bit strong.  But YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!  One day at a time, that's all you can do.  When the voices start, yell back at them, that's what i do!

Oh, that darn chatter.  If you listen to it you will have to start all over with day one again and day two and day 3  I understand the pull that the chatter has and I have listen to it.  It got me nowhere absolutely nowhere except to start all over again.  You know buying a stash so you can have one, yeah right.  Your mind will scream and scream for reason to go to the stash for a quit one and it will not give you any peace of mind until you a full fledge smoker again.  It is much easier to say no now and hold on.  It does and will get better.  I hope you day went well.

Vaslim, vent, scream, rant, do whatever you need to do instead of buying a pack of smokes!  I drank so much iced water I could floated away, but boy did it help.  Can you change your scenery?  Rearrange furniture?  If you go to the store, buy ice cream!  or a wonderful reward!  Just no smokes!  You can do it!  Today is the big day when most of the nicotine is out of your system!  You're doing awesome!  Sending happy thoughts your way!

Vaslim,

You CAN do this and we are right behind you pushing you forward in your quit!

Day 3 is almost under your belt and before you know it you will be halfway through Hell Week. Start planning a nice reward because you definitely deserve it!

Members have offered you great advice on distractors so please keep them close and post here as often as you need to also.

You are in our prayers!

These 2 days will be rough... get some gum, some ice water, a punching bag, whatever you need to do.  You can make it through this, stay strong .  One smoke and you are back on... so keep your guard up and remember that you do want to quit, it is just that nicodemon that is trying to get you back.  Keep kicking ash!
